There are people whose live's have touched highs and/or lows that most of us cannot begin to understand.

I met “K” a few weeks ago when I attended an event and filmed an interview about the life she had led originally in Watford before through no fault of her own she ended up in Newark living in a refuge with her 2 children.

Because of a previous experience where a Channel Lincolnshire interviewee was identified and harassed online I have not used K’s real name or those of her children and further for the first time I have taken away the video and present K’s story as an audio interview only.

I was left feeling inspired by K who is clearly now living a settled life with her 2 children, who can look forward to a great childhood with their mother.

For me this story demonstrates that the huge value to individuals and to society of supporting people in need through hard times.

This is not a short interview because the story is worth hearing, it starts with details of a hospice in Newark for which K raised money doing a walk through the Sahara desert.

You can find out more about the charity that helped K get through to a new life on their web site www.womensaid.org.uk.
